Card Sync Privacy Policy
Card Sync is made by nVision Technology (“we”). This policy explains what happens to your information when you use the Card Sync app on iPhone and iPad.
The short version
We don’t collect any of your data. Card Sync has no account, no ads, no analytics and no tracking. We don’t run a server that your files or settings go to. Your files go only where you send them.
Your files
Card Sync copies files from a memory card or USB drive you connect, to a place you choose: iCloud Drive, On My iPhone (or On My iPad), a folder you pick in Files, or your Photos library.
- The app reads only the folders you pick with Apple’s Files picker.
- It reads file names, sizes and dates so it can tell which files are new, and reads file contents to check that copies to a folder match the original.
- If you copy to iCloud Drive or Photos with iCloud Photos turned on, Apple stores those files in your iCloud account under Apple’s privacy policy. We can’t see them.
- If you turn on “delete from card after verified copy” for a preset, Card Sync deletes the originals from the card only after their copies have been verified. It’s off unless you turn it on.
Settings and presets
Your presets and settings are stored on your device. They’re not sent to us. They may be included in your own device backups.
Purchases
The optional Card Sync Pro purchase is handled by Apple through the App Store. We don’t receive your payment details. Apple tells the app only whether the purchase is active.
Children
Card Sync is not directed at children and collects no personal information from anyone.
Keeping and deleting data
We don’t hold any of your data, so there is nothing for us to delete. To remove everything Card Sync stored on your device, delete the app. Files you copied stay where you put them until you delete them.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we’ll post the new version at this address and change the effective date above.
